I counted 49 (There were probably lots more) people driving in the low visibility and blowing snow this morning with NO LIGHTS ON.

While people driving without their lights on irks me like nothing else, I would hardly call much of what I just saw 'low visibility'.

Real world / shitty Chinese dashcam with brightness cranked to 11.

Still, wipers on = lights on law here. And 90% of the other cars on the road knew what's up.

And I passed SO MANY COP CARS too. Even saw a cop driving after dusk in the rain without lights on once, I wanted to report his ass SO BAD.

I an not sure why they don't have DRL or auto lights as a mandatory law for cars in the U.S. Its really just a proper safety standard, and has little to no downside no matter how you argue it.

This. Around here we get a lot of fog in the winter and it amazes me how many people don't turn their damn lights on in thick fog.

if there is low visibility on way to work i don't turn my lights on , for simple reason , less than 1km from home to Petrol station where i get newspaper in morning , then only 1.5km to work.

If lights on when low visibility and when wipers on, do they have to be main lights, side lights or are DRLs okay? If DRLs are permitted as is required in many European countries for all driving, they don't light up the rear light clusters.

I use Auto mode on the car so I just leave the lights on, DRLs during the day and main lights after dusk.
